This wood has been kiln dried to an average of 6-8%. The Black Cherry that you receive will be basically clear with small solid knots possible.

Black Cherry is personally my favorite wood to work with. It is one of the best woods for workability. It has a pleasant smell when working it, and the color of the wood will age gracefully to a deep rich color. The heart wood is durable and has good rot resistant qualities. This wood is great for furniture, flooring, mill work, and architecture elements.
